Ties
Does anyone sew mens ties? I want to make something for my hubby, and thought this might be something quick and simple to make. I am getting ready to surf the net to see if I can find any free patterns, before I head out to the fabric store tomorrow. I am itching to break out the sewing machine again, I can only make so many blankets. I need to tackle a pattern to get over my fear of it. I would rather be knitting, but my arm is still not cooperating with me.
Knitted toys
I have found some really cute knitting patterns for some baby toys that I want to try and make. I have several friends who are very preggo right now so these would make for some great gifts!
I am going to give knitting a try this week, hopefully I can do it. My arm hasn’t been as sore, but who knows what it will feel like once I pick up the needles again. I won’t have to go out and buy any yarn, as I have bags and bags of it in the front entry way just waiting to made into something great!
Hmmm
I am still kicking around in the back of my head about a home business I could do to bring in some extra home income. Photography seems like a fun thing to do, but more and more people are getting into taking photos, so I think it will be over saturated. Knitting might be the way to go, but being injured right now isn’t helping.
If I had the money I would love to open up a little bakery/cafe. Baking has been a passion of mine for such a long time! I loved working in the bakery years ago. All those yummy smells! Being able to create some fun desserts and different kinds of breads was so much fun!
One day my dream will come true!
Lately
All I have been doing is browsing the internet, trying to find some sort of craft to do, that isn’t to strenuous for my arm. I have read so many reviews on different things, that my mind is starting to go in overload mode. So much so, that I was checking out phosphacore reviews and have no idea how I came across it?
I need to be able to knit again, so I can relax! I am going stir crazy! Its been 6 weeks and I am so itching to get back into my needles and yarn!
Creative juices are a flowing
Its Valentine’s day and I am in a creative mood today! I want to make something, knitting a project would be my choice, but my arm still isn’t cooperating with me. I want to head out to the craft store in a bit to see what I can do. The guys are going over to the inlaws, so I have the day to myself. I love this!
While out, I have to stop at the drug store and check out some under eye cream, as my wrinkles and dark circles are back, and I don’t like it. Getting old isn’t pretty! If I can’t find anything to make, then I guess I will head back home and curl up with one of my books and a nice thick blanket. I may even take a nap!
What’s on your agenda for this Valentine’s Day?
Bummed
My crafty has been put on hold for the next 4 weeks. I went back to the doctor to have my elbow looked at. Getting another shot wasn’t in the picture (which I was relieved), as they can only do 2 per year, and it has only been 4 months since the last shot. I have to go to physical therapy 2 times a week for the next 4 weeks. If this doesn’t work to heal my arm, then I will have to go see a hand surgeon. Yikes! So I guess I will be posting all of the crafts I want to make if and when I am allowed to.
No homemade baby things, fun things for friends or myself. Its even a challenge to do my normal household things, so this will be a trying 4 weeks!
