Knits ~n~ Purls ~n~ More

Don’t you hate it when you have money and its burning a hole in your pocket!? I am in a spending mood, but as the old saying goes, when you have the money you can never find what you need, and when you don’t have the money you find everything you need/want.

We have a few big ticket items on our list of “wants”, from a flat screen TV, a stand and a chest freezer. I am thinking we are waiting until after tax time to see where our funds are before we purchase any of these. But for now, we need to get a new DVD Player, as the one we have is slowly dieing. I would like to get a DVD/DVR combo one, so if there are any shows John wants to record to later show his dad, we can make a DVD and bring it with us when we go over to their house. As it is right now, we have a DVR, but its through Comcast, so no taking a DVD with us.

I went through the sale ads today to see if any one was having a sale on yarn. I am in need of some cotton yarn to finish up some dish cloths, and found one store that has it for 4 for $5, not a bad price. I know where I will be going in the morning after the hubby leaves for work.
