PostHeaderIcon Starting early

I always say that I am going to get a jump on my Christmas gifts, and usually I procrastinate and then have to cram everyone of them in last minute. But this year, I am going to do it. I don’t want to be rushed, as that is when I tend to make mistakes.

I want to try my hand at some sewing projects, as I want to learn more about my sewing machine, and if I have to take some classes then I will. I saw some “adult bibs” at a craft show this past summer, so I want to try and make a few of them to have on hand when we are at the inlaws for family dinners when spaghetti is on the menu, so the towel/bibs don’t have to come out.

I am thinking about getting my inlaws some barska binoculars, as the ones they have now don’t do a great job for them. They are really into bird watching now, so I think this will be a great present for them.

For both my hubby and father inlaw I want to make some golf club covers. I have been talking about doing this for a few years now, so this is the year I will get them made! (I hope!)

I whipped this up yesterday for my friend’s soon to be new grand daughter. Just wish I was going to California next week to deliver it in person, but the money just wasn’t in the cards!

If I can whip up a fun lotion, I should be able to come up with a natural acne treatment don’t ya think? I am in a creative mood, so this should be fun!

I have lots of projects going right now, from knitting to sewing to making up new concoctions! The knitting projects seem to be a never ending, as I keep starting and stopping them. Trent thinks I will never finish the sock monkey for him, but I will just to prove him wrong! I hope the one baby item I am making turns out like how I have it pictured in my head.

I have the sewing machine all ready to do to hem up some jeans, and while testing out a new stitch, the needle comes loose. All I can see if/feel is that needle going through my eye, like it did way back in the day of my middle school years. Thankfully it didn’t happen this time, I caught it, an fixed the problem, but talk about scaring me! I finished up the sewing, but had that “fear” in my throat that something was going to happen!

I finally bought some fabric to recover my cushions on my rocker. I had no idea as to how I was going to go about doing this project, so I grabbed an energy drink, took my vitamins and dove in feet first.

I had leftover fabric, so I made a cushion for my folding chair. I want to get some white fabric and make a slip cover to go over the folding chair to make it look a little cuter, but with that, I think I will need some sort of pattern to go by, as winging it, isn’t an option. I want it to look good.
