My latest project completed.  I saw this fabric book at Joanne Fabrics and thought I would give it a try.  I am not that great at sewing, but am quite pleased with the outcome of this little book.  At first I kept saying "It's a good thing I love Cohen!"  It was giving me fits, but I finally got it done!

I need to find a pattern so I can make seat cushions for my patio furniture. I wonder if they make such a thing? Now that its getting nice outside, I want to be able to go out on my deck and enjoy the nice weather, but want a nice comfy chair to sit in.  Plus this will give me some more practice on sewing.  I want to be able to make things so I can get my etsy site filled up with lots of neat things.  Got to make a living some how, why not with crafty items?

The shopping bug has bitten! I am wanting to get new bedding. Of course the hubby thinks what we have is just fine and I just need to stop. I can't help it! I saw some really pretty bedding in purple that I really want. I then could go hunting for the perfect purple fabric to make some curtains and to recover the throw pillows.   I really need to get a part time job, so I don't feel so guilty in wanting to spend all of my hubby's hard earned money!

I need to break out my sewing machine againg. I have so many friends right now that are pregnant that I could make some cute baby clothes for them. I could even make them to sell on etsy. The wheels are turning now. I want to be able to get out of daycare soon, but not necessarily get a normal 9 to 5 job.  I hope I can get this up and running soon!

…you hear of people making clothes for their kids, and for doll clothes. But has anyone made their own maternity clothes? This might be something I would consider doing for some of my pregnant mom friends. I have yet to get the sewing bug, like all my many hobbies. I have tried it some, but just can't get it. I have made some curtains for our bedrooms, and have recovered some pillows, but that is my extent of sewing. I would love to sew my own things, but just don't have that confidence yet.
