Scrapbooking
I need to get back into the groove of scrapping again. I have so many pictures to scrap, and oh so many more to actually print. I am debating back and forth whether or not to make the transition into digital scrapping or just stick with the way I have been doing it. I have so much money invested into the paper and stickers, that I would feel way to guilty to just chuck it all to start all over.
I could be very creative in my designs though with the digital software that is out there. I have seen so many cute pages people have created, and some really cute baby shower invitations, that give me some inspiration.
Spring Break is coming up soon, so maybe I will use that week to be creative and try to make a small dent in my stack of photos! Wish me luck!
Late nights
Now that I have my craft room, I have been staying up later, just thinking of all the things I want to do in that room. I have been organizing all of the thousands of pictures I have yet to scrap. Just the thought of that freaks me out a little bit. I don’t even want to think of the ones that have yet to be printed. This week has finally taken a toll on me. I am exhausted and will be looking for the best wrinkle cream out there tomorrow when I go grocery shopping. The wrinkles and dark circles are so very present on my face.
I thought that tonight would be an early night for me, but I ended up going to my friends football game, to “watch history”, as Aaron put it, as they were undefeated. They did end up winning tonight, 39-14. I even got a hug (and almost tackled) by Aaron ~ he usually runs from me when I ask for a hug/kiss. I have a few more things to get done, then I am heading to bed.
Time to do some shopping…
… for my new room that is! I finally finished my new craft room and want to find lots of cutesy things to put in it. I have been checking out all the sales, as I am all about finding the best deals!
One of my splurges I want to get is a small flat screen TV so I can still enjoy all of my shows while working on my scrapbooking or sewing. I did get a nine cubicle storage unit yesterday, that I put together all by myself. I was quite proud of myself.
My other splurge I want to invest in is some new lens for my digital camera. This will take me a while to save up for this splurge, but its definitely on my wish list. A video camera would be a bonus as well. I will have a nice long wish list to give to my hubby for Christmas. He won’t have any excuse as to what to get me this year!
I also need a sewing kit, to hold all of my sewing supplies and fabric. Its a good thing I have a nice walk in closet to store all of the deals that will yet to be found when I am out shopping! I guess I have better look into getting a part time job, as I love to shop!!
Work in progress
Its almost time to start working on getting my new hobby room! The oldest picks up his keys to his apartment on Monday. Then it will be all all about getting his stuff out, moving Trent’s stuff into Christopher’s old room, and all of my scrapbook supplies, yarn supplies and sewing stuff into the room! I was looking at the ceiling fan in Trent’s room and its got to go! While the room isn’t big enough, I would love to have one of those a href=”http://www.lightingshowplace.com/brand/Casablanca”>Casablanca fans. So cool! But for now, I will try and clean up the fan and make the best of it!
Scrapbooking supplies
I love getting free stuff in the mail. I was eagerly waiting for the mail man to bring me my Bzz kit with some new scrapbooking supplies. They finally came!!
In this kit are:
* 2 pairs of X-ACTO decorative edge scissors
* 1 X-ACTO corner rounder
* 1 Elmer’s craftbond permanent tape runner
* 1 Elmer’s craftbond clear glue pen
* 1 Elmer’s craftbond all purpose glue stick
* Assortment of glue spots
I love the fact that they are coming out with less expensive products to preserve our memories. The Elmer products range anywhere from $2 to $9, and the X-ACTO products range from $2 to $20. I am anxiously awaiting the completion of my hobby room. As soon as the oldest moves out, I will be fixing up the room, then I can rip open these fun new products and get back into scrapbooking!
Here is the complete line of Elmer’s and X-ACTO products:
