He asked if he could get the amp, I said no, as he told me I didn’t need a new laptop. He pouted, and then come home with an amp anyways. I am not very happy, but what am I gonna do? I think a little retail therapy is in order, and purses/bags it will be!

John is in need of some work boots as well, so I think a shopping trip is in order. Hopefully he can find the boots at Meijer’s as I have a 20% discount coupon on a total order that I have to use up real soon. I wonder if I can talk him into going tonight after we drop Trent off, and then grabbing some dessert at Outback.

I think my husband and I have a good marriage. We’ve been together for a long time, and we have a routine that works for us. We aren’t perfect, and we have our issues, but for the most part we work as a team and only fight when it’s absolutely necessary. We split all of our household responsibilities down the middle, and it works for us. I take care of paying our utilities and adt monthly fee, and he pays the mortgage. He takes the kids to school in the morning, and I pick them up in the afternoons. He cooks dinner three days a week, I cook dinner three days a week, and one night we go out to dinner at a place the kids choose. I am lucky to have a husband who takes responsibility for what goes on in the home. He understands that I work just as much as he does, and that if we don’t work together, our family will suffer. Some of his friends give him a hard time and call him Mr. Mom, but he is proud of how we operate.

For now, I will start the grill the same old way I have been doing in the past, turning on the gas, and then throwing in a match. Yikes! So far, I haven’t blown myself up or cinged any hair, so its all good.

We go on Tuesday for the final road test, and if he passes its off to the Secretary of State to get his license. Wish him luck, er, um… wish me luck!

My wife and I are opening a restaurant/bar in a few months. The next thing on my list to do is decide on televisions. I’m specifically thinking about how many, what size, and placement. I know that some families will come in and not want to have the television as a distraction to their meal, while other families will appreciate the distraction. Also, I’m hoping for big turnouts on game days. We are going to advertise drink and appetizer specials, with a discount if you are wearing team logos. So, we are going to need to accommodate game day viewers, who will most likely want a larger screen television. Placement is a big deal, as well, because generally speaking, people don’t usually want to sit all on the same side of the table. There need to be televisions within view from every angle.
