So I didn’t quite get it finished in time to wrap for Christmas, but at least my father in law was a good sport and went along with how I presented it. But was happy that I would be able to complete it before I left their house on Christmas.

Doesn’t he look cute in his new hat!?!?

So glad to be caught up on my knitting. I am taking a few weeks off before I dive back in. This is a much needed break with all that has been going on this month, what with the new job, a sick kiddo and cramming to get all the gifts made.

PostHeaderIcon Thinking about what to make for next year

I’m not even done with this years crafts and I have starting thinking up ideas for next year. I have scoped out some craft shows to see what people have been making, and my mind is going in all directions. I had John check out to see who have the best prices for metal rings for crafts. I have an idea for them, and want to get started on it sooner rather than later. But then again, I say this every year, and I always seem to procrastinate and scramble until the very end. Luckily I have lots of other supplies on hand, so that will save me some money and time running around getting everything I need.

I would like to share what I am planning on making, but there are others out there that will see this post and then my idea will be ruined and they will run with it. I am so hoping that my new job won’t interfere with the crafting I want to accomplish over the next year! The job will come in handy when I need to go out and buy supplies once I use up what I have on hand.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute to get presents completed. I just finished up the last slipper, and now I am going to start the next beard hat. One day to complete it, hopefully I can get it done in time. The baking just isn’t going to happen this year, and that has me bummed out big time! I love all the Christmas baking, and feel out of sorts with not having any in the house. I know me, and I have a feeling I will be baking some sort of goodies tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a long, long day!

Once the holiday’s are over with and things settle down with my job, I am going to attempt to make new Christmas stocking for all of us. I like this one for myself, but only in purple!

Not sure what I want to do for the guys, but I will find a pattern I like for them. I also want to stock up on other items so I can be prepared for the craft shows come this time next year! I have a whole lot of ideas I want to do, just need the time to do all of them!

This year has flown on by! This is a busy month, and its only going to be busier now that I will be starting a new job in a few days! I will be one of those last minute shoppers, that I so dread! I still have a few more gifts to finish knitting, that I think will be finished right at the eleventh hour!

I am sad, that I won’t be doing as much baking this year, as the weekend before Christmas I have a night rotation for my training at work. I am going to try and get some cookies made in the morning, and may have to enlist the help of the boys.

Let the madness commence!
