Knits ~n~ Purls ~n~ More

Taking a small break from crafts today, as I am in a blah kind of mood. I don’t have the time, but I need a down day. So after the visit at the hospital, and a nap, I am now surfing the net and browsing sites like carpet cleaning raleigh nc. I should be looking for different and interesting things to knit that others haven’t posted on facebook, so I can get my niche carved out.

The hubby isn’t happy with me working outside the home, so I am trying to find some sort of at home business to do, so I can quit and be home more. I would really love it if I could get a loan so I could start a yarn/cafe type shop! I am going to keep trying to get this dream to come to be!

I finished my second pair of socks!! I love how they turned out!

I love how the yarn has its own pattern design in it to create a great look. I have a friend at work that now wants a pair of gloves with this yarn. I have to see if I can actually use it in the pattern for the gloves I make. I may have to double up on it, to give it some thickness. Hopefully it won’t cause any apidextra side effects!

I am starting a third pair of socks for a friend, then it will be onto a couple of beard hats. Hopefully this will be the start of the business taking off! Once I finish these orders up, I will try and make a few little things to have on hand, to start building up some finished supplies.

My knitting project at the moment. I am trying to finish up this pair of socks, so I can tackle the next pair, then onto a couple of beard hats.

I am hoping to finish up the hats rather quickly, as I want to get them shipped off, as the money from them will go right into my “Girls Only Chicago” weekend fund!

I have never been so glad for a weekend to get here! This past week has been so crazy at work, that I haven’t really had time in the evenings once I get home to just sit and knit. My mind just won’t shut down enough to concentrate and relax, which stinks as usually knitting can relax me in no time. I am so hoping for a nice relaxing time at work tonight, but I just don’t think that will happen!

We have a family wedding to go to this weekend, so I will be busy with that tomorrow, so not sure how much knitting or other crafting will be getting done. I need to look into this vlc media player, not really sure what it is, but Trent has mentioned and wants us to check it out. So this will be on the agenda for sometime this weekend.

I would rather just sit, veg and knit for the weekend!
