Thinking about what to make for next year
I’m not even done with this years crafts and I have starting thinking up ideas for next year. I have scoped out some craft shows to see what people have been making, and my mind is going in all directions. I had John check out to see who have the best prices for metal rings for crafts. I have an idea for them, and want to get started on it sooner rather than later. But then again, I say this every year, and I always seem to procrastinate and scramble until the very end. Luckily I have lots of other supplies on hand, so that will save me some money and time running around getting everything I need.
I would like to share what I am planning on making, but there are others out there that will see this post and then my idea will be ruined and they will run with it. I am so hoping that my new job won’t interfere with the crafting I want to accomplish over the next year! The job will come in handy when I need to go out and buy supplies once I use up what I have on hand.
Time to get moving
I have lots of baking that I want to do today, so I need to get off of the computer and get crackin’!
Have you all checked out Pinterest? yet. Its such an addicting site, but so much fun! I have found lots of great new recipes I want to try out, as well as lots of fun crafts just waiting for my to give it a try.
I could spend hours on this site, just looking and pinning away. But, oh wait, I already do! Just another site to add to my ever growing list of addictions!
But for now, I am logging of, as I need to get into the kitchen!

Not so crafty
I haven’t been so crafty this week, been in funk. I need to get out of it, as I have lots of knitting I want/need to get done! I did manage to do a little baking this week, as in banana bread/muffins and zucchini bread/muffins. Making the two kinds, I have enough for next week, as I won’t be around tomorrow to do my normal Saturday baking.
Hubby is looking for guitar amps, but he really needs to be looking to find out where can I buy cheap desktop computers or memory upgrades for the laptop. I am tired of the slowness of the laptop, and have been using the desktop alot lately. I really want to get back to using the laptop, as I want to bring it with me to my parties.
Summer is almost over
There was so much I wanted to do this summer, but the time just slipped away from me. I wanted to finish a pair of socks I started knitting, and then get started on a bunch of items I wanted to have ready for a craft show this fall. I am hoping to make a dent in what I want to get done before November.
I am still holding out for that camper, and possibly a boat. This means I need to either get a job, or seriously start saving up, as I am sure we will need to take stock in polaris sportsman parts for the said boat.
I am on the hunt for a recipe for peanut butter cup bread. I saw some at a Farmer’s Market, but didn’t want to pay the price they had on it. Which got me to thinking, that maybe I could make up my own bread and baked goods to have a stand at a market to make a little extra cash. Something I need to look into very soon!
But for now, I think its going to be a day for lounging at the pool!
Creative juices…
…are really not flowing in my house lately! I need, no want to get back into scrapbooking, but I just don’t have the motive to do this right now. I would love to work on some holiday invitations, as well as some knitting, that I could use in some upcoming craft shows, but I just don’t seem to have the energy to do this.
I have been talking so much about how I want to be able to earn some extra money by selling my crafts, but I just seem to be doing only the “talking”, and not the actual work of getting these said items completed, so I can indeed get to the craft shows! I have had all summer to work on stuff, but just don’t. What has been my biggest interference? The computer and all of the stupid games on FB right now! I am obsessed! Its gotten out of control!
Time to reign myself in and get the creative juices aflowing again! If you see me on FB to much, give me a gentle nudge and remind me of all the other stuff I should be doing!
