PostHeaderIcon PINNING ONLINE

This guest post from Doris Dillon

We recently looked into wild blue deals and decided to get internet service at our house. I have really enjoyed staying in touch with my friends through e-mail from home and not just at work. My friends also told me about a great new website that I absolutely love. The website is called Pintrest.com. Basically, it is a virtual bulletin board. When you are searching the internet, you can install a little “pin it” button on the top of your browser. When you see something that you like, you click the button, and it posts to your bulletin board. You can categorize the picture and also write a blurb about it underneath. You can follow your friends and others that have the same interests that you do. They can also follow you. For the last three nights, I have cooked dinner with recipes that I found on Pintrest. I recently started a new category to keep track of all the DIY projects that I come across that I love. Pintrest is a great idea!

I think this will be my next project.

I just put away the Christmas wreath, and put back the hat my Aunt made me so many years ago. I know it is very dated, but it has sentimental feelings attached to it. I have to find a way to preserve it once I put it up for good.

I turned in all of my rewards, gift cards and Christmas money to Best Buy so I could get my Kindle Fire. I am having fun looking for all sorts of “free” items to install on it. I am just a little bummed that I can get and app for two of my favorite games, Phase 10 and Chuzzle that I play on iTouch. Its a good thing I plan on keeping that, as I need it for the gym.

I have lots of books downloaded to it, and have them arranged in order of how I want to read them. But they will have to wait, as I have a few “regular” books that I need to read first, one being the first in the series of the Hunger Games that my hubby got for me for Christmas.

I like that it has the wi fi connection, as I can connect while on break at work to surf for good deals and coupons like: wet seal coupons, as I am working on my grocery list. On my list to check out tomorrow will be to see where we could go to get a side of beef, or even a 1/4. I want to fill up our freezer with the better cuts of meat, all while finding the best deal out there! Saving money is my number one goal!

PostHeaderIcon Thinking about what to make for next year

I’m not even done with this years crafts and I have starting thinking up ideas for next year. I have scoped out some craft shows to see what people have been making, and my mind is going in all directions. I had John check out to see who have the best prices for metal rings for crafts. I have an idea for them, and want to get started on it sooner rather than later. But then again, I say this every year, and I always seem to procrastinate and scramble until the very end. Luckily I have lots of other supplies on hand, so that will save me some money and time running around getting everything I need.

I would like to share what I am planning on making, but there are others out there that will see this post and then my idea will be ruined and they will run with it. I am so hoping that my new job won’t interfere with the crafting I want to accomplish over the next year! The job will come in handy when I need to go out and buy supplies once I use up what I have on hand.

PostHeaderIcon Time to get moving

I have lots of baking that I want to do today, so I need to get off of the computer and get crackin’!

Have you all checked out Pinterest? yet. Its such an addicting site, but so much fun! I have found lots of great new recipes I want to try out, as well as lots of fun crafts just waiting for my to give it a try.

I could spend hours on this site, just looking and pinning away. But, oh wait, I already do! Just another site to add to my ever growing list of addictions!

But for now, I am logging of, as I need to get into the kitchen!

Ta ~ Ta for now!
