Chicken on the grill ~ a Paula Deen recipe
You can’t go wrong with a Paula Deen recipe.
Ingredients
1 chicken, cut up
Salt and pepper
Daddy’s Tangy Grilling Sauce, recipe follows
Directions
Season cut up chicken with salt and pepper. When coals are white, spread them out for even heat distribution. Place chicken pieces on the grill with larger, fattier pieces (such as the thigh) near the center and smaller pieces to the outside. Brush grilling sauce on chicken through the cooking process and turn chicken as needed. Move chicken toward the outside as the leaner pieces (such as the breast) get done. Brush with grilling sauce just prior to removing from grill. Serve warm.

Baking, cooking, cleaning and laundry
This pretty much sums up my Sunday afternoon. Normally I don’t do much of anything on Sunday’s, but I am leaving for a week of camping in the morning, so I am trying to get everything done to make the week easier for my hubby.
First on my list of things to do today:
Make the spaghetti sauce ~ done
Make banana muffings ~
Make nana’s apple cake ~
Laundry ~ started
Vacuum ~
Sweep/mop ~
Pack ~ started, just have to wait for the laundry to be done to finish.
I have a few assignments to complete, and then off to a birthday party. I am so going to need the week of relaxing on the beach after today is over with.

I love being able to do my “window shopping” on line, not only does it save me gas, but it saves me money as well, as I am not quick to do an impulse buy. But then again if the sale right then I just might!
My impulse buy for this week (well that I really want to be an impulse buy, but have to twist my hubby’s arm a little harder!) is a new laptop. Mine is giving me so many problems. I know I should just bring it in and get it looked at, but I just don’t want to. It would be cheaper to have it fixed than buying a new one, I think. But I really want a new one! I mean come on its his birthday and it wouldn’t be a tradition if I didn’t get something for me. Ha! Its been this way for so long, why break it now, right? He got his birthday dinner last night, and today we will be going out for a nice drive to destinations unknown, just him and I. That’s a nice present right?
But alas, I should look into getting a flash drive to save all of my pictures and any other things I need saved and just take the laptop in and see what all it needs to have done. I know of a place that has free diagnosis, so that will be what I probably do. So wish me luck!
