The best chicken bullion not to be mistaken for gold bullion, is when you cook it yourself. Shown here with buckwheat and fresh chopped dill.
Ingredients:
2 lbs Chicken breast
2 qrts Water
2 Carrots, pilled, sliced
1 Onion, pilled, whole
Celery
Parsley
Salt to taste
Preparation:
Put chicken in a soup pot, add water. Get water to boil, reduce flame, skim the foam. Add carrots, onions, celery, salt. Boil for about 30 minutes, add parsley and continue to cook for about 15 minutes or until chicken is cooked. Dispose of onion.
Serving suggestions:
Serve clear bullion with oyster crackers on a side, or cook rice, buckwheat or egg noodles and put in a bowl with bullion. Add fresh chopped dill, if desired. The otherwise bland chicken meat from the bullion can easily become a part of delicious Poflotski.

I am always looking for quick and easy fruit salads to whip up for a side dish during the summer months. This one looks easy enough, and sounds yummy!
1 pint strawberries – cleaned, hulled and sliced
1 lb. seedless grapes, halved
3 kiwi’s – peeled, sliced
3 bananas, sliced
1 21 oz. can of peach pie filling
In a large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. Gently mix in pie filling. Chill for 1hour.
I have a loose diamond that I have had for a while now, not sure what I want to do with it. I am planning on taking it to a certified diamonds store to see what its worth before I decide what I want to do with it.
I would like to incorporate it into either a necklace or another ring, but not sure what I want to do. I am leaning towards a necklace, as I don’t have a diamond necklace. I have a jewelry making magazine somewhere I am going to have to dig out so I can see what I want to make. Who knows, this could lead into another hobby for me, just don’t tell my hubby, he thinks I have to many as it is!

I have a long list of books that I want to read. I am having a hard time finding them via the library since their big “no holds at the KDL branches if you are a Grand Rapids resident”. This is so frustrating. I can find the books I want at the KDL branches, but when I do a search at the GRPL branches, its a no go!
I guess I can chance it and go to a KDL branch and hope that they just might be on the shelf, as I can still check out books from their branches. Go figure, doesn’t make sense, but what ya gonna do? I may have to go in physically to a GR branch and see if they can help me out with their whole online hold/search thing.

Its amazing how much stuff you need to bring camping! Here we thought we wouldn’t have to bring alot, as we are borrowing my friends mother in laws camper for the week. Even with bringing two cars, we still have way to much stuff! Go figure! There were lots of sales going on for our food, so that was a bonus! I think everything is packed, now I just have to figure out how to get everything to fit in the car, and leave some room for my nephews stuff once we get to his house. Yikes!
We should have thought to get a bug zapper, as we all tend to get bitten up. I can only imagine how many bug bites we will have after being up there for a week! I have one already from Co’s birthday party yesterday.
We’re hoping the weather holds out for us, and no rain this week! But then again, what’s an outing with Robyn and I without rain? We have plenty of games and books to keep us busy if it does rain, just hope the four boys don’t start with the “I’m bored” saying!
I guess I had better go over everything to make sure I have all we need, and then get to loading the car, and hope it all fits!
See ya in a week!
