Craft room
I am waiting for the day that my oldest moves out so I can turn his bedroom into my craft room. I am looking at modern furniture styles. I have been browsing the internet for some ideas and love how this room is designed.
I think I would go with a shade of purple on the walls though. I’ve told my hubby of my plans, and he just rolled his eyes, as he knows that somehow he will be roped in some how with this “project” of mine! Isn’t that what hubby’s are for??
Supreme Pasta Salad
This is what I am bringing to the inlaws for our cookout today:
5 cups assorted raw vegetables (I have tomatoes, cucumbers and pepperoni in mine)

Time for a change
I want to find a new dining room table. The one we have has seen better days, well the chairs anyways. Not sure what my hubby will say, but I am ready for a change. I want to redo the whole dining room, we have the painting done, so now its time for the rest. I am checking the sale ads for the perfect dining room set. I’d like to get one like my in laws that have several extensions and lots of chairs. Then we can start having the family over here for family dinners, to give my in laws a break.
I like this one, but wish it had extra extensions. I am still holding out for my in laws to buy a new one so we can have their old one, even thought they said we don’t want it. Oh but I do! I will have ample room to do my crafts, until I get my craft room, either in this house or our next house.
I want to make some curtains for the dining room as well, my sewing is getting a little better. Almost can sew a straight line! I need to practice some more and then I think I will have the hang of it. Or I could just hire my cousin to do all my sewing!
Making a guitar
I went to the wood store with my hubby today to help him decide what kind of wood he wants to make the next guitar out of. Of course he wants to get more of the cocobolo wood, but that is banned from the house as he is very allergic to the oils on the wood. While looking at all the different kinds of wood they had I noticed that his adult acne is flaring up again. He just can’t catch a break from this. I am hoping he doesn’t break out with the cystic acne, as those hurt something awful.
We did find a hunk of spalted beech that we liked, but couldn’t find any mahogany that he wanted so we passed on buying any wood today. I told him to finish up the one he is making for our nephew, then we can do some searching again for the one he wants to make for himself.
Paper Box Vases
These look like they would be fun to make, and something I could actually do with my arm! I have enough yarn just sitting around, I need to do something.
VASE
Cut lid off box and bend remaining edges outwards.
Apply a small amount of glue to top portion of both interior and exterior of box.
Wrap yarn around box within glued area.
Continue to apply glue to one small section at a time and wrap with yarn until exterior of box is covered.
Allow to dry.
Cut short lengths of yarn and glue onto wrapped box in spirals to make dots.
Allow to dry.
Note: Use jar slipped inside wrapped box for water.
