This is the one!
I finally found the perfect sloppy joe recipe!
1 1/2 TBSP oil
2 cups chopped onion
3 lbs. ground beef
2 cups BBQ sauce or ketchup
1 cup mustard
1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
Saute onion in oil until tender, 3 mins.
Add the beef, cook until browned, drain well.
Stir in BBQ sauce, mustard and worcestershire sauce, simmer for 5 minutes.
Enjoy!
Spoiled kitty & Tax Refund
Our cat is a strange one. She likes water. If someone is in the bathroom taking a shower, she will sit outside the door and whine, until one of us lets her in. She will sit on the edge of the tub, and wait for whoever to get out, so she can get in and play around. She is like this at the kitchen faucet as well. She likes to drink out of the tap, and play in the stream of water.
I have been thinking about getting her one of those for pets. Like this one:

If we do get her one, then we will have to figure out where to put her food tray, as it will need to be plugged in, and the area where her dish is now, has no outlet near by. Some will say I am crazy, but I love my baby girl, and will spoil her all I want! But she will have to wait a little longer as we are still waiting on our taxes.
John is looking at tools to purchase once the taxes arrive, be I want to find a good sale on a Kitchenaid Mixer or pots and pans. The set I have now, is close to ten years old, and is starting to show its age. The rest of the refund will be going into savings, and hopefully it will stay there this time!
Creative juices are a flowing
Its Valentine’s day and I am in a creative mood today! I want to make something, knitting a project would be my choice, but my arm still isn’t cooperating with me. I want to head out to the craft store in a bit to see what I can do. The guys are going over to the inlaws, so I have the day to myself. I love this!
While out, I have to stop at the drug store and check out some under eye cream, as my wrinkles and dark circles are back, and I don’t like it. Getting old isn’t pretty! If I can’t find anything to make, then I guess I will head back home and curl up with one of my books and a nice thick blanket. I may even take a nap!
What’s on your agenda for this Valentine’s Day?
Cookies
I baked for most of the morning/day today. Made 4 1/2 dozen oatmeal raisin cookies, some for my neighbor, some for church, and a few for us. The next batch was cut out cookies. This didn’t make as much as I thought it would, so I will be making one more batch of another kind of cookie tomorrow, as I need 5 dozen to send to church on Sunday.
I love how this photo came out!

Now of course none of these cookies are on my diet, and I can honestly say I have yet to have one cookie!
Weights
I am slowly healing. I can go most of the day without wearing the splint. I still have some pain when I lift things, but not anything like it was before. I am thinking about picking up the needles and seeing if I can knit a few stitches. I am using soup cans as weights right now, then slowly working my way up to the other weights.
John has been drinking organic apple cider vinegar, as he heard it did good things for joints and stuff. He hasn’t seen any improvement in his shoulder, but its cleared up his acne and is better than any acne scar removal product out there. Some of the deep pitted ones look really good now! As much as I can’t stand the smell of the stuff, he needs to keep drinking it, as its working! He now just need to work out and get back into shape. Guess its time for me to crack my whip!
