I finished the shawl I started earlier this year, that had to be put on hold due to my "knitter's elbow" as I call it (really tennis elbow).  Here it is!

Have you thought about your Christmas shopping yet? There have been some pretty good sales lately too! I am going to check out the great deals at buy dot com. There are so many things on my wish list, as well as the guys lists too. We have some big ticket items, so I need to start saving now for those, but the smaller ticket items I can buy here and there and hide them away. Our list so far:

*flat belly diet book

* computer – desktop and laptop
*Ipods
*Flat screen TV
*dining room table/chairs
*DVD (player/recorder)
*camcorder
*Wii games (I’m sure)
*2 Wii controllers along with the Wii motion add ons
*digital photo frame

I am sure there will be lots more to add to this list as it gets closer to Christmas.  There are lots of big ticket items that I know won’t really happen this Christmas and I am ok with that.  It will just make me save all that much more to get them as soon as I can!

I can’t forget the kitty!  I still want one of those cat trees.  It has been a year and the one my hubby said he would build has yet to happen.   So I guess its time I just buy one for her!  I will try to find one that has a hide away compartment at the bottom so I can store all of her cat toys to clear up the living room!

We are in need of a new desktop computer, as ours I think is on its last leg. If we get a new one, then the old one will go for the boys to use until it dies. I have been checking the sale ads to see if there is any we can fit into our budget. I need to back up all of our files and pictures before this one does die. I can't loose any of those pictures, as I have yet to print off one picture I have taken with my new camera, that isn't so new now. I have had it for almost two years! I can't even tell you how many pictures I have taken with this camera. I want to get a computer that has lots of memory and space for me to install a great photo shop program so I can doctor up photos.

 I would really like to get a new laptop, then the hubby could have the old one.  This would be great when I am out and about taking pictures, then I could upload them all and show the clients right then and there, their pictures.  I could do this now, but I really want a new computer.  I can dream, can't I??  

I think I am going to get that Bose stereo for my hubby as a surprise so I can sweeten him up so I can get my way with the laptop!  I love to scheme!  It usually works too!

I have quite a few ripe bananas that are in need of some saving.  So I think I am going to make some mini muffins to stock up my freezer.  We still have lots of zucchini bread left from the weekend.  The boys have been requesting some banana cake as well, so I have to find my recipe for that and will try to make this for tonight's dessert.  

The weather is still cool enough right now, so it won't be unbearable to turn on the oven.  Which is such a relief, even it is the end of August!

I think I am going to make some of these for my hubby and FIL.  They didn't get to go out this year and do any golfing with my FIL being sick and then ending up in the hospital.  So this will give me at least half a year to complete for them.
