Day trip
Well our shopping trip was a bust. Not very many sales, well what I justify as a sale. It was fun to just browse around and be with family. Trent have fun in the house of mirrors and the laser game. He could do both for as long as he liked, as long as he didn't leave the building. We gave him the other phone and then went browsing. He was told to call when he got tired of doing both sites. We ended up back over there before he called, and could see him in the mirror house on the cameras.
He was trying to take some pictures in there with his dad's camera phone, but they didn't turn out very well. He is now asking for his own digital camera. I told him if he could save for half, I would go in on the other half for him. He is now asking what he can do to earn some money. I guess, mowing grandpa's lawn isn't enough for him. If he would only get back into doing his chores around the house, he would earn his allowance, and mom should enforce it more. He did take some pretty good pictures of his dad and I at the various photo op sites around the town we were visiting.
Sales and shopping
Its garage sale season. I have been to quite a few sales so far, hopefully there will be more to come. In the next few weeks, I will be having a garage sale of my own with a few friends. I am hoping to make some money to either go to more sales myself, or to save up to someday soon buy a new flat screen TV. In doing this we will need to buy a new entertainment center, as ours is just to small.
At the garage sale, I think I will make some goodies to help boost some sales. Everyone loves homemade baked goods right? Maybe even have some hot dogs, chips and pop as well. I know shopping makes me hungry.
I have some stuff ready for the sale, but need to go through the rest of the house to declutter. I know this will make my hubby very happy. He keeps saying we have to much "stuff" as it is. I will be going through my scrapbook stuff to see what I am willing to part with.
What do you look for when you go garage saleing? For me it is always clothes, yarn or books. That reminds me, I have to go through my book shelves to see what I need to get rid of!
