Food
I need to start finding more healthy recipes so I can get my diet back in check. I am at a stand still and not sure what else to do. I have been reading on different ways to go about kick starting my diet. One of the sites had a nuphedra review that sounded pretty good. I am still unsure if I want to go the route of a diet pill. Most of them are on the expensive side and just don't fit into our budget. So I think I will stick with the healthy recipes and I guess exercise to get rid of these last 10 pounds.
Jewelry
A while back I received a very pretty heart pendant jewelry that I still get many compliments on. I didn't think I would be a fan of silver jewelry, as the old saying was you couldn't mix and match gold and silver jewelry. I think that saying is out dated. I love mixing up my jewelry and I love this necklace. I like that I can keep my hubby close to my heart all day.
Home improvements
We are almost done with the kitchen remodel. We reinstalled the pantry doors and love how they look. The molding under the cabinets is next, as well as the countertop (maybe). We have to look as some lighting fixtures as the one in the entry way is not working all that great. It keeps blowing the light bulbs, every month. Not sure if its a problem in the actual light fixture or in the wiring. So my hubby has to get it checked out. The side door needs to be repainted the I think it will all be done! Not bad, only took us 2 months to complete.
Triple Chocolate Mess
What a yummy dessert! I had this last night.. yum!
Ingredients
1 (18 1/2 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
1 (4 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
3/4 cup oil
1 cup water
4 eggs
1 (6 ounce) bag chocolate chips
1 pint sour cream
Directions
1. Spray crock pot with non-stick spray.
2. Mix all ingredients and place in crock pot.
3. Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours.
4. Try not to lift the lid.
5. Serve with ice cream.
It is VERY rich, so be sure to have some ice cream in the house. A little goes a long way. Keeps in fridge for a while. Just heat and serve.
Systems
POS systems. Have you heard of this? I haven't, so I had to do some investigating. It is for retail merchants to go mainstream with their cash registers. They can switch over to computerized systems. Now that I have read about it, I have noticed that most places have done this all ready. Its funny when Trent sees a really old cash register, and thinks that it is ancient. I have to remind him that some of them aren't that old, as I have worked on some like that. He just laughs and says, "Well mom… you are old." Kids!
BUTTERSCOTCH RICE KRISPIE TREATS
I think this is what I am going to make for camping this week. I have everything on hand (or at least I hope so.)
1 cup Butterscotch chips
1/3 cup Peanut butter
4 tablespoons Margarine
2 cups Mini marshmallows
3 cups Rice Krispies
In a saucepan over low heat, combine chips, peanut butter and butter. Stir constantly until melted and well blended. Remove from heat. Add marshmallows and cereal, stir until well coated. Press firmly into lightly greased 9" square pan. Refridgerate until firm. Cut into squares.
Directories
They have a really cool directory list and maps of the hospital now that are computerized. We were checking it out last night, its the little things that amuse me and my hubby. We could have used one of the maps today, as we got all turned around when we were trying to go back up to my father in laws room today. We found it evenutally. We weren't that far off.
