Camera accessories
I have been checking out the Sale ads for camera accessories. I have tax money just burning a hole in my pocket! I want to get another lens if I can talk my hubby into it. I want to seriously work on my photography skills. I have a gal at my church that I am wanting to go watch her work and get any pointers she has to offer. I would really like to get a telephoto or wide angle lens, but will have to do some saving up first.
I have been going through all my pictures that I have taken since I purchased my new SLR camera. I can't believe how many I have taken, and I have yet to print off one picture. I am kinda afraid to see what the actual cost is going to be when I do finally order prints. I know I won't be ordering every single pic I have taken, but I will be ordering a lot of them. Before I get going in photography I need to tackle my scrapbooks and get caught back up!
Do you have any expensive hobbies? If so, what do you do to save up to keep the hobby going? I will either take on a new daycare kiddo, or sell things on ebay.
Homemade potpouri
I saw a post on a message board I belong to, where a lady made her own potpouri from the flowers she received from her hubby on Valentine's day. I was getting ready to throw mine out, but decided I would do the same. I keep fluffing them up in the bowl on my dining room table, and they still smell really good, even though they are getting really dried out.
I received some more flowers this week for my anniversary, that when they start to wilt I will pull the petals off and add them to the bowl.
What a great way to preserve your flowers a little longer! I will have to take a picture and post later.
Patio furniture
I am getting new outdoor furniture! I found the set I want, and can't wait until our taxes get here so I can go get it! I have found a pattern for place mats that I am going to make for us to use when we eat out there. I hope they turn out ok. I have a project for my hubby to complete so I can use our deck more. I want a slider put in where our dining room windows are. He thinks its going to be too expensive, but little does he know I have already looked into this, and its not all that bad. We won't have to pay anyone labor to put this in, as he and his dad can do this. Got to start cracking that whip!
Tax time
Its tax time. Have you done yours yet? We are expecting ours back soon! We plan on getting living room furniture, but I also want to get some patio furniture. I want to use our deck more, so I am looking into getting led lighting to put around the deck. As well as getting some to line the front sidewalk. I had put this off, as we were going to sell our house, but with the way the housing market is right now, we are going to stay here a few more years. With us staying here longer, we are making lots of changes. I can't wait until we get everything completed!
Craft shows
I need to get busy with my creations so I can have a nice supple of items to have at some craft shows. I would like to get a portable credit card machine to have on hand for any purchases made by credit cards. I have seen some at shows, and can only think that they get more sales by having one.
As soon as I finish these few baby gifts I will start making towel toppers, dish cloth, baby items, maybe even socks. Who knows! So many ideas going through my head. The credit card machine will come in handy for any guitars my hubby makes as well.
